With more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Julie recently joined the Salmon Real Estate team of professionals.
“I enjoy making a difference in people’s lives. Being able to see the expression on customers’ faces when they’re at the closing table is amazing,” says Julie. “Whether it’s a newlywed couple looking for their first house or a divorced person who is scaling down, it makes me happy to be able to help people find the right home. It’s such a gratifying experience to change people’s lives like that.”
Specializing in everything from short sales to purchases, Julie gives each client personalized attention, and can help guide them through the real estate process. “I have a team that I work with, so if a buyer doesn’t have a mortgage commitment, I work with a mortgage banker.”
She recalls during Hurricane Sandy when she helped people sell their damaged homes through short sales. “I did this as a gratis for some people because they just needed to get out of the hole they were in,” says Julie.
Having been a real estate paralegal for many years, Julie tied her sales experience to her legal background. She also currently works for Staten Island real estate attorney Daniel J. Byrnes.
“I try to give customers all the help they need. I try to learn every aspect of this business, so I’m knowledgeable when I speak to people,” she says.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in law and master’s degree in psychology from Purdue University. Julie also is a New York and New Jersey licensed notary, and a chef licensed through the French Culinary Institute of America.
