Having owned Louis Florist for 25 years, native Staten Islander Paul Scamardella
is no stranger to the business world.
 
Part of a family whose name is well-known on Staten Island, Paul joined the
family-run Matthew Funeral Home in 2004 after selling his floral business in 2000.
 
He also opened another family-owned operation, Matthew Monument Flower and
Gift Shop, which he still runs today alongside his cousins.
 
Between the time he sold Louis Florist and joined Matthew Funeral Home, Paul
worked as a substitute teacher for the NYC Department of Education, as well as a
consultant for the Forest Avenue Business Improvement District (BID).
 
Throughout all his endeavors, Paul had always taken pride in providing superior
customer service to his clients. And all of his past experience has prepared Paul to
provide white glove service to his Salmon Real Estate customers.
 
A graduate of Susan Wagner High school, Paul obtained a Bachelor of Business
Administration from Baruch college.
 
He has been a member of The North Shore Rotary Club for 39 years, and served as
the group’s president from 2004 to 2005 and from 2010 to 2011. Paul also is
president of The North Shore Rotary Foundation. He has received the Paul Harris
Fellow Award, the highest award you can receive in Rotary, twice. In addition, he
has served on multiple boards of Staten Island charities, including CHASI, Geller
House. University Hospice, Seton Foundation and Rainbows Hope.
 
Paul lives in Willowbrook with his husband, Manuel Cifuentes, who is a physician
from Venezuela.
